Biography
Mina is shaped by a quiet approach to dressing—one that prioritises ease, clarity, and continuity. Founded in 2021 by Shaazia Adam, the Mozambican womenswear label draws on the designer’s background in couture, translating that technical foundation into pieces intended for everyday wear.
Working primarily in Maputo, the brand produces garments using natural fibres, favouring materials that lend themselves to softness and movement. Silhouettes are pared back, with clean lines and subtle construction allowing the body to lead. Rather than statement-making forms, Mina focuses on clothes that settle into daily life—adaptable pieces that move between contexts without excess.
Production remains largely local, with an emphasis on small-scale making and consistent quality. This approach reflects a broader commitment to building a sustainable fashion practice within Mozambique, where design, material, and place remain closely connected.
