Biography
There is a deliberate pace to Flaunt Archive. Founded in 2021 by Rukaiyah Kamba, the Nigerian womenswear label is built on a considered approach to making—one that prioritises intention over speed and treats each garment as an accumulation of skilled labour.
Craft sits at the centre of the practice. Raffia pieces are shaped through traditional hand techniques, while textiles undergo specialised dyeing processes that lend depth and variation to the surface. Prints are developed in-house, and materials such as linen and silk are selected with attention to sourcing, forming a foundation that balances tactile richness with restraint. Production remains measured, allowing each stage—from construction to finishing—to retain its clarity and care.
Underlying this is a commitment to responsible making, with an emphasis on small quantities and close collaboration with artisans. At Flaunt Archive, clothing is designed to endure—pieces that carry the imprint of process and are intended to settle into a wearer’s life over time.
