Biography
ur arrives first at Eki Silk. Founded in 2009 by Hazel Eki Osunde, the womenswear label moves between Nigeria and London, using silk as a canvas for prints that carry personal and cultural references. The collections extend across clothing, accessories, and lifestyle pieces, each anchored by a distinct visual language built through pattern and palette.
Osunde approaches print as narrative. Motifs are developed digitally and transferred onto silk with a sensitivity to tone and detail, often marked by vivid bursts of orange and fuchsia that recall the landscapes of West Africa. Rather than seasonal statements, the pieces are designed to hold attention through subtle shifts in colour and composition, allowing the wearer to define their own presence within them.
Production is guided by a considered approach to resources, with digital printing used to limit water and ink consumption, alongside a no-waste policy that repurposes offcuts. Packaging is produced using recycled materials, reinforcing a practice shaped as much by process as by image.
